Your fuel system is up to 29 years old. Eventually it will go up in flames if it's not changed. Many of these vans are very much loved and a whole family relies on it's service, being such a multi purpose vehicle. The only way is to change the fuel lines that takes the high fuel pressure and use the right stainless steel fuel clamps that won't damage the hoses. I can come to your home or place of work to do it, and it will take about four hours. I am dedicated to save all the Vanagons from fire and keep them on the road forever, or as long as possible. Sure, there maybe other less important items you would like to be done on your van, and they can also be done, but nothing as urgent as this. Contact your Vanagon friends about this, if you have any.
