1969 Dodge A100 family wagon 318 V8

i have seen this van for sale two or three times in the last three years, i keep calling about it, and no one ever returns my calls, so i figure they don't really want to sell it~ the last time i posted it on this here little site, the asking price was a wee high~ this time~ who knows how much their asking~ you try calling~ missing wheel covers and painty fade
wrinkle free, can't see any rust, full kitchen with head room and sky lights

they did their homework~

you can call~ i'm done with them~ and i might have a few too many family vans, eh ?

there's something so soothing and old fashioned about a split window

can you see the dashboard mounted slapstick shifter behind the rain and heavy breathing~
MOPAR magic really only happened in the sixties

i like the idea of 318 cubic inch engines sitting in your living room, rumbling with fireplace warmth and glow, kick your feet up and stare at stars through the roof glass or watch the snow fall from culvert ditch sideways slides

i'd like to hire a maid to live within fiberglass hi-tops, to clean and cook and iron my boxers, a small women blessed with efficiency, with hair grey, in pearl white and sea foam blue uniform swaying into hair-pin turns as i scream, hold on, and spin wheels while she, frowns and makes me huckleberry pancakes and bacon
deep from in logging roads toward futures unmilaged

1965

i have posted this patina before~ i just know it. but the thing about a car and the human mind is, that if you move it, say parked a few blocks over, it becomes a new car
how you approach a car is like some animal seduction, you spot it across the street, or from down the block, and slowly hold your breath and creep

the sun shining yesterday made the whole world glitter and glow with a special pure light of wonderful and autumn's taste made me realise how much of my life has been wasted on visuals and forgotten events

while out~ way out in Galaxie 500 lives have been shaped, formed spun and hurled down avenues and cobblestone parkways~ where the 80's haven't happened

plastic windows of pride, a medal of honour to show how old you really are, there are no parts cars for you my love only patches

tires as old as i am, framed in patina~ rust and stainless trim

check out the ass, double take the plate~ and instantly forget
a whole life in the gutter~

1967

if i could change the universe, i'd change my birthday so that i could have been 16 in 1967, and i would have stolen this car from some supermarket parking lot
drive'n it out west to the Haight and comb my hair with Popsicle sticks and wear leather cuffs, vest and

the color or my stolen car~ would be~ of course~ Statutory Grape
this beaut isn't any of this, just a run of the mill lucky survivor, living a humble life in Washington state waiting for me to dive in to muscle car madness~
if you want to buy it, here's all the info, i have too many projects, but shit, i just wanna start drink'n and put a six pack on the dashboard and floor it

Ford flatfaced monsters

these old guys, have a scrap iron shop, or at least they pretend to, and they collect the greatest old work trucks, ever
early 1960's Ford's~ this guy must own them all, and has, hands down the greatest parts truck collection in the west

and he still uses one of them, to haul, break, destroy, and terrorize

iron, brass, aluminium, steel

a harvest of patina

this is where they live

wonderful, wicked Georgetown landmarks

black rock city 2

Dutch and Kent gave this sweet ass sunwagon to Mee-Mee to give to me and i love it, i won't even let the kids hold it
air-cooled and orange

pop-top

motor-bike up on the bumper, like a chocolate

some kids lowered this ride, with shoes, and gravity

look at the thumb wear, so many little hands holding it, since 1981~
i'm old enough to have played with it !

almost crashed the first time i saw this really roll caged van, couldn't stop that time, and thought i'd lose it, to the desert~ the burning~ and the white ghost creating dust

somebody welded a hella lotta metal onto this one, and a huge roof platform too
i love the mystery involved here, what are they going to do with this thing, parades ? rollover contest? spaceship taunting?
but i will never go to find out~

the hook is the greatest part, wish it were bigger though
going to catch some drugs and freaks and both~

little man in the canoe

changing all my collapsed vacuum hose and what's this little plug doing in one of the lines
looks like a tiny nozzle of some sort ? any one have an idea~

could this little brass clit have been causing my mysterious morning marine layer failure~ (MMMLF)

doubt it but now at least i have all new vacuum line, the old ones were all original, and if not flat, glass brittle~ easy job~
now for a test drive
