another chevy van only not so cherry

i don't think the driver lives in here, he looks like a house painter, nice retro signage though.

a van crashed into my chest and broke my heart

three quarter view of the wonderful van Deb Henry has recently purchased to add to her vintage automobile collection, very distinguished, love this van, mags on the rear skinny bicycle drags on the front, so bad ass, so seventies, pony kegs and bongs all around, i wonder if Debs going to carpet the ceiling i forgot to ask, when she drove me around, the first person to be so driven, on these cute little jump seat ass busters, fold away and duct taped.
really fun steering wheel, bare bones interior all steel, nothing soft here, to absorb impacts, impact's for wimps. the engine sits under your right arm/coffee warmer hot plate.

front view, looking tough, low grill face like expression, my street looking sunny and warm almost, the fly window hardware, is amazing like little butterfly wings, only Detroit butterflies.

the van, as she purrs and waits to power stand across the city, with classic rock and road cokes, plus it gets even better. . . three on the tree, in your face five speed sissies.

the proud owner asking me to kindly shut the hell up and drive, and i promise Henry as soon as i recover, i will spend a weekend chauffeuring you around town, while you, me and who ever else wants to run away, re-enact Springsteen's born to run LP, live.
with out all the gross jersey guys.

Nice original 1969 Ford Econoline pop-top camper van for sale Purchased from the estate of the original owner. Fairly rare, especially in nice good running condition. Converted by Combi Wagon in Ballard in 1969. Very clean and very original with pop-top for full head room. Sleeps 2 comfortably and seats 4 at the table. Has a stove with oven/icebox/sink with faucet/110 plug in/wardrobe/lots of storage. Has a very good and smooth running 302 v8 with automatic transmission. Surprisingly gets about 16-17 mpg in the city and 20-21 on the highway. Runs quiet and drives very well and smooth. Doesn't burn oil or smoke/no leaks/brand new tabs and clean title. Within the past year have had the transmission fully serviced/carb rebuilt/full tune-up/new radiator/heater core/good cooper tires. Everything works as it should. No rust, some poor parking dents from the original elderly owner, but nothing major. Hate to sell because it is fun and VERY reliable, but it's spring and time for someone else to enjoy it. Please call or email with any questions or if you would like additional images. Thanks~ 206-851-8456

This Van is not running and will have to be moved on a trailer. Comes with a 302 engine and I think a C6 tranny. This is a project vehicle.

VANBULANCE

this is a Vanagon by Matchbox 1987, but i believe it represents a Vanagon from 1985, just like my brown Pelican, or as the Germans say, PEELY CAN. i sure do adore this little vehicle, the back hatch opens and you can see all sorts of equipment inside, the windows are tinted blue,
check out the gumball machine light on the roof. my magic camera takes these photos, all i do is stand there.

old splitty with matching single wide.

i found these two photo's years ago, at a flea market, just amazing on two levels, the first being that, that is a sweet little splitty, i like the way it's parked on the hill down some country road, and second, the freaking van matches the single wide trailer, wonderfully, who has vehicles that match their home? i certainly don't, can't and wouldn't, would i live in a brown box with a tiny foundation, like my vanagon?
if you want to own up to the above images, i found them in upstate NY.
tell me the story.

my 1963 ford ranchero

my little red ford ranchero, man i loved the crap out of that car/truck, the girl on the couch is Janet, that's the way we drove around back in the 90's in seattle, parked behind the wildrose, i lived at the winston, the guys upstairs called me buttercup, Tim and i drove every together and listened to Minutemen, and firehose, i wish i still had that truck, but it wasn't very practical. jake was just born, and a car seat couldn't fit, in the tiny front bench seat.

this photo is with Alison, the ranchero came with a little 200 straight six engine, on sundays i would load up my big drawing pad and drive to the uw and draw for hours and not talk to anyone, Alison lived upstairs, the first day i ever met her i had just moved in was painting the apartment blue, had taken off my shirt, and painted my chest and face the same, she came to the back deck for a smoke and said, hi.
