roof racks like a bad hat

after months of having these $ 30.00 roof racks and about a month of measuring and staring and worrying- i installed my roof racks-big deal right- now i can put the boards up on top and make Mee-Mee drive me around while i sleep and read-
but the roof racks make me feel like i'm wearing a really silly looking hat-
and now i can't roll all lowpro- unless i'm solo-
oh the hard life of a belly gazer
note the 1/4 pipe pieces out on the street for free- i have giving up on skating- too old-too injured-
have taken up slack line walking

p.s. the roof racks with boards should come in under 7'6" so we won't have to get any extra charges on the ferry

santa cruz

this one is for Kent (el mutante) a very nice mustang-parked on the street, and dusty

did you know that i hate spoilers ? did you even care ?

i hope mom drives this around after having the kids paint all these big circle painting all over it

cool art kids-

my ride out side Toby's house, this is my long haul driver, a.c. cruise control, and quiet, none of which my van can offer

Kanoa's sweet borrowed rig, with amazing hunting top, wood grain paneling, stuffed full of boards and bags

it was dusk so the flash makes it look so much cleaner, this thing is so North West low pro

they stuffed D- into the back and drove away with him

this thing lives down the street- and a really cool running-ancient truck 1920's ?

parked in the circle church parking lot, i think the alter boys live in there- at night candles burn in the windows

nice westy- but i suspect the pop-top color is way too hot for California

everyone spends a lot of money on these rides- i guess i would too, if i had any

baja breaker

there's just something so wonderful about people stacking surfboards to the roof all wrong and backwards and upside down, it looks like a crappy car commercial- so cool buy one.
nice single wide and tailer in the backgound too-

this little honey stabbed me in the heart- look at the colors and design- i went into the shop trying to find the owner- no luck-

found this Hotwheel in the toy box and had to laugh, look at the size of the ties, great black hood, flames cheesy decal name, roof box, off road lighting, skylight, and porthole window- great ! now where is the little hotwheel tweaker, and his toothless old lady

a galaxie 500

a jewel like patina so multilayered that the original color is all impossible to imagine, this monster is like a painting, of absence, of dull summer afternoons, of city scape camouflage wonder, color schematic negativity

a 1965 Galaxie 500- four door hard top, so very flat and low, look at the plates covered with burlap sacks, why ? the guy down the street has a bunch of cars all like this in need of restoration or a flatbed, all original and straight though
my second car was just like this only a 66 and perfect, look at this wonderful hood, surface rusted smashed out passenger window, lovely
i don't think this guy has a job but for walking around his cars and driving them around the block, he does a lot of parking, you should see his house

parked on the street, yo, 1963 1/2, was a great year for the Galaxie 500, a transition away form the huge 50's bombers, these things looked great at Daytona and Taladaga, with race hoods and 427 ci engines that's 7 liters, can you imagine that, my van is a 1.9

i loved this car when i was 25- this was my graffiti name, and later a great proto-emo band

there's just something magical about the name Galaxie 500, it's almost as if it really is a place- just out there behind the stars somewhere- where everything is perfect and fast and comfortable- could this car ever take us there, from back seat dreams, chrome knob, puffed headliner, am radio, black carpeted drive line humps hot, whispered wonderment ?
within this car we can hold hands and crash into bugs across country roads, corn stalk, apple tree, slinky lake and drive-in theatres night-
sleep-
