vanagon crazies

so these guys out in the country somewhere are clearly out of their collective minds, they keep posting these fields diamonds, and more importantly they like to keep the prices nice and high, and i have to ask who, who? who, would buy a piece of crap like this? look at the engine, i think it's just thrown on the ground in the engine compartment. did the van pull that boat to the field?

is someone living in there? some crazy barefoot field mechanic, oh, yeah, i think, it runs, give it some gas, feather it.

and yes, they sugest it might need a new paint job and some cleaning, CRAZY.

1980 VW Vanagon Westfalia, A unique unit! Previously Aircooled, but converted to Subaru EA71? Liquid-Cooled POWER... Has been sitting dormant for a while, but ran and drove well before parking it. 59K miles indicated, 4 speed, Towing-Package, Oven, Range, Fridge, Sink, Etc. Needs a decent paintjob, and some interior cleaning. Has been sitting for a while, as evidenced by the "northwest-green-slime effect". Kind of a 'Diamond in the Rough'
